.inside out

It stinks to have a fireplace that does not work. Unless you have like 12. But if you have only a few, and they do not work, I think it can be as festive to decorate inside of one as it is to do the mantle thing. What do you think?

Did you watch Top Chef? I am semi-obsessed. Bummed it is over(for those of you that missed, not going to ruin winner), but am excited to see next week as they all dish crap on each other at the reunion show. The show after, Launch My Line, is just so not doing it for me. Not happy. You?

  1. I think that photo is lovely and decorating the inside is a fabulous idea. Simple in white with a bit of sparkle or fresh and rustic with birch logs and
evergreens and simple cream-colored dripping candles.

I haven't watched Top Chef yet. I fell asleep last night. But I am
so rooting for Kevin! The next time your're in my neighborhood I'll take you to his digs. The food is delish!

  3. We get Top Chef a few months after you here in the U.K. I do loke it.
We have Victorian fireplaces in nearly every room in our house. That's eight in all and I'm not decorating them all !!!! Hehe....only one has a fire in it though. i do love the picture of the decorated fireplace that you have shown though. Trouble is, if I was to do that, they would get dirty, as we do get quite a bit of dust, coming down the chimney.I have had birds down the chimney too !! Real life isn't quite like the magazines!!
