Visiting family in freezing Cincinnati where there is snow, ice and love, thankfully, as there would be no other way to keep warm. Good God, I really cannot believe how brave people are to live in cold, gray weather on a daily basis for like 120 days. Big fat hats off to ya. No joke.
Ok. Do you have special plans to ring in the New Year?
I love this picture! I don't think I could do snow in a city... have to have snow PLAY right outside the door! No special plans. Happy New Year to you, g.!!
ReplyDeletedude, i don't know how people handle the cold weather! i must be a sissy! it is about 70 here today, and it is a tiny bit chilly in my apartment. ahahahhaha. how dare i complain! :)
ReplyDeletehope you have a super new year, tfd! :)
ummm,.. maybe bake a cake with the kids, eat good food and fall asleep before the ball drops.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2010!
Liza-Agreed. Beautiful, in the woods, falling gently to the ground mountain snow. Sweet. City, slushy, dirty, slippery freezing snow. Not so much.
ReplyDeleteplans? oh yes. released from cooking this year... having a party! yay! best warm wishes to you for 2010!
ReplyDeleteYou find the most evocative images, g. They always say so much in the simplest way.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you m'dear! No big plans for us...and that's exactly how I want it! :0)

That's a great picture-- And exactly why I live in Southern California. I can't do the cold and snow and everything that goes with it anymore.
ReplyDeleteNew Years will be spent with friends-- and I don't have to cook :-)
Happy 2010 to you!
what a perfect picture. happy new year to you and your family! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI just stumbled across your blog via Spain Daily and loved the name 'Ticklish from a distance' straight away - I'm sure it must bring a smile to everyone's face. Lovely pic in the snow. I prefer the sunshine too, although I do love seeing the snow coming down on new years eve here in the Netherlands. I shall be popping back to read more. Best wishes for 2010.
ReplyDeleteThe photo is so cute!!! Happy new year to you, my dear! See you in 2010!
