Visiting family in freezing Cincinnati where there is snow, ice and love, thankfully, as there would be no other way to keep warm. Good God, I really cannot believe how brave people are to live in cold, gray weather on a daily basis for like 120 days. Big fat hats off to ya. No joke.

Ok. Do you have special plans to ring in the New Year?

  1. I love this picture! I don't think I could do snow in a city... have to have snow PLAY right outside the door! No special plans. Happy New Year to you, g.!!

  4. Liza-Agreed. Beautiful, in the woods, falling gently to the ground mountain snow. Sweet. City, slushy, dirty, slippery freezing snow. Not so much.

  7. That's a great picture-- And exactly why I live in Southern California. I can't do the cold and snow and everything that goes with it anymore.

New Years will be spent with friends-- and I don't have to cook :-)

    Happy 2010 to you!

  9. I just stumbled across your blog via Spain Daily and loved the name 'Ticklish from a distance' straight away - I'm sure it must bring a smile to everyone's face. Lovely pic in the snow. I prefer the sunshine too, although I do love seeing the snow coming down on new years eve here in the Netherlands. I shall be popping back to read more. Best wishes for 2010.
