.yum

Ok, so feeling a bit stretched is making me a lot late. Last week, the lovely From the Right Bank to the Left Coast posed an interesting challenge called "What's your style in one picture?" One picture! Yikes, that is quite a challenge for me! I sifted through images I have saved online, looked through some magazines, the usual, but was a bit stuck when I stumbled on a room that really spoke to me right on her scrumptious blog!

There is so much said using very little in this room. Love the open space, love the light, adore the old table and grand beams with the shimmery, contemporary fixture and love the pop of color and design in an unexpected place. To me, it looks relaxed and refined at the same time.

Love it. And her wonderful blog. So, how would you describe your decor style in one WORD?

Tricky, huh? And fabulous does not count...

  4. Now that is fabulous! I still haven't been able to come up with just.one.image. But, I love yours and so many of the components are a prerequisite for mine. The high ceilings, architectural interest, beams)(!), vintage and modern...this is just too difficult of a homework assignment! But you've earned an A++.

You thought it was hard with ONE PICTURE!! Now your making us do it in ONE WORD? Ummmmmmmm...My word is {Home}. Though always changing from french, modern, traveling mementos (from each trip) the root of my style always comes back to one thing...Home. Great post and gets our heads actually thinking! Love it!!

  10. Wow, that's a good question (both the one image and the one word). For the image, I'll have to try later :-) For the word, can I submit "schizophrenic"? Or perhaps more politely, I'll go with eclectic. I really like a lot of different styles from french to modern to classic... and ones that mix it all up together!

  17. this pic is rad, so that means YOU ARE RAD, TOO!!!!!!!

at the moment i am angry at a DOUCHEBAG CLIENT, so it is probably best for me not to describe my style (right now it would be a black cave or a dungeon or a pit with snakes!).

  19. What a fun game! Mine is definitely Craigslist. I'd be sitting on the floor in an empty house if it weren't for that wonderful site.

I'm going to post this on my site tomorrow.

Thanks so much for stopping by my site!
