Where do you tend to settle with a good book, magazine or paper? Is it always the same spot? Do you save your favorite magazines for the perfect time, or do you rip right in and devour them within minutes of arrival? Do tell...

I love to read in bed. It seems very luxurious and decadent. Also, I am not a big sitter. I use to tear into Domino the minute it arrived. I couldn't wait. The rest of my magazines, and I get many, I tend to save and do in a group when I have the time. I just received my first issue of Architectural Digest that they are sending in lieu of Domino-yuk! I won't tell you what I'm doing with it!
ReplyDeleteI really REALLY like the second snapshot !!! I am a compulsive reader and could read everywhere ... however feeling physically comfortable is a very important point ... I do have a nice comfy and cosy place in my yard , I enjoy the most ...
ReplyDeleteI wait for the perfect moment so i can study each page. I usually always have a cup of my favorite tea steeping next to me. It only lasts a brief moment. I think seconds...before an interruption arrives. By the time I come back, my sacred moment has disappeared. So then I have to devour it in faster seconds and my tea is cold by then... tic toc...it goes so fast...sometimes I make another cup of steeping tea and try it all over again...

You know, all this time you've been commenting on my blog I thought you were Gracie from Woolgathering. *embarrassed blush*
ReplyDeleteI have two window seats and never curl up on them to read and the photo that appeals to me most is the window seat!
I read EVERYWHERE.
i read on the couch b/c it's the most comfortable spot and i can lay down.
ReplyDeleteah, i love to read! but blogging is fighting for my reading time!
ReplyDeletewhen the weather is nice, i love to sit out on the deck with a stack of mags and sun myself while reading. it makes me feel fab. and throw in a margarita and i might never go inside. :)
I read everywhere, too. I have a great spot outback, I often read while waiting in the carpool line for one of my kids, too. I am a hoarder(is that a word?) in that i save some of my favorite reads for times I KNOW there will not be twenty questions coming my way at once. I also find a cold beer goes down great with delicious reading!
ReplyDeletei really love these images. and i love to read, too--my favorite spot is in bed, but really, sit me down anywhere with a book or a magazine and i'm good to go. my mom used to reprimand me when i was little because i tried to sneak books to the dinner table. :)
ReplyDeleteI am so picky about chairs and what I find comfortable that I tend to read anywhere but! I read in bed, in the car (NOT while driving), in the park - anywhere I happen to be. I always, always have a book with me - which will probably lead to permanent back problems in old age!
ReplyDeleteI read everywhere and anywhere but always in the bath and in bed. xv
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, luv the second pic more.
ReplyDeleteLuv your blog too!
Reading is my favourite past time. I don't have TV and I read about 1-2 books a week. So my flat is all about reading spaces... but my favourite one is in the corner of my red sofa.
ReplyDeleteThese photos make me read even more!
i also read everywhere and always have a book with me. i seem to always get in the slowest line so it´s a comfort to know i´ve got something to read...:)
ReplyDeleteI always read in bed, right before sleeping. Ha! Magazines - yes, I save them for just the perfect time and right now have a huge stack to get through.
ReplyDeletelittlebyrd-Isn't that the best? I let my fingers trickle over my stack when I walk by waiting for just the right time!!!
ReplyDeleteJane-I take books EVERYWHERE, too. Often too many!
I adore the window seat. And I would kill for that chesterfield couch.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful collection of reading places. I read in bed. Or if not at home - at the subway or on buses.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous pictures. The bambino leaves little time for me so I read wherever I can grab a moment whether it be in the bathtub or at the kitchen counter. I would love to stay in my study lounging on my chaise. Not true.
