The color of my walls. Do you think all of the b/w photos I frame should be the same color frame? If so, what color? Or, what about no frame at all-all glass.
Hmmm, different, but don't mix too much. Dark wood, with a patina look good with brushed nickle, or maybe gilded gold wood also...oh what am I saying, they all look good together. Can't wait to see!
I would go with a mix like the photo unless you want the wall to be less of a feature(depends on what else is happening in the space),then I would go with all one frame color. Any color frame would work if you go with all the same. White, gold, silver, wood tones would make them all stand out and black frames would make just the photos. Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!
I freaking love black walls. It just looks so sophisticated and classy. As for frames, I personally don't like gold frames - they remind me of old people decorating, for whatever reason - but silver and white and frameless would be good.
Oh, those walls! LOVE THEM. I'm not going to be any help here. I like both looks equally. I don't think anything could look bad against those walls either. Thanks so much again for filling in for me while I was away! xoxo, Ally
I have no idea! I say mix silvers and blacks?? I like the thinner frame in this one, too, more than the fatter white one. And, is that really your wall color?? I LOVE IT!!!
Different color frames... white, gold, silver.

ReplyDeleteI love a mix, but right now I am into skinny gilded wood, especially against those rich dark walls.

ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone; a mix of blacks, whites, silvers from the b&w photos would really enhance them and the gorgeous walls!

ReplyDeleteooh, this is radical! all the same or mix it up! the options are limited! and the decision is a hard one to make, no? ack!
ReplyDeletep.s. i like frames. but DANG THEY ARE EXPENSIVE (if you get the fancy kind from art framers).
I like all glass but I also love black frames with white mats for b&w photos
ReplyDeleteOn a dark wall -- mix. But on a white wall I actually prefer white frames. Go and figure...
ReplyDeleteSorry, I have been such a lousy blog friend this summer. But now I will follow you like a hawk! (:
