I have always liked this idea for books and think I'm going to do it. I love making every spot in my house functional...if possible. Do you like this idea?
This is a great idea if you have the nook. It is probably also cost effective. A few 2 by 4s, some molding and paint. Toss a couple of pillow and Voila! You are there! I am in desperate need of shelving at my new place...
I think it is perfection. Absolute genius, in fact. Do it. Now!
We have the typical builder's breakfast bar/island overhang behind our kitchen sink. Originally we had barstools there that we never used and once our boys started climbing them, they became an unused nuisance. So we had bookcases built into that area. They now house the boys' overabundant collection of books and we love them. Don't know how this will play out for resale value. But who cares. It was a great choice for our family.
I absolutely love this!! LOVE!
